GlassMasters Autoglass has certified experts and advanced calibration tools at all locations.
New cars have advanced safety features attached to the windshield that require careful calibration to function properly. When your windshield is replaced the integrated camera system needs to be calibrated before your vehicle is safe to drive.

Why is it so expensive to replace a windshield in cars with Lane Departure and similar features?
The calibration tools are not yet commonplace in dealerships and auto-glass replacement shops. GlassMasters offers some of the best pricing in the industry.

How do I know if I need Calibration?
Most new high-end vehicles have ADAS features. As cars become more advanced, manufacturers are quickly moving these features into less expensive models. You will most likely require calibration when your windshield is replaced if your car has a camera in the windshield or any of the following features:

  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Front Collision Avoidance
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Pedestrian Protection
  • Headlights Control
  • Autopilot/Self Driving
  • Blind Spot Monitoring
  • Park Assist

Certified windshield calibration experts
GlassMasters has purchased some of the first Pilkington Opti-Aim Calibration tools in Canada, allowing GlassMasters to safely replace windshields in the majority of vehicles with ADAS systems.

Can I decline calibration?
If the system is not calibrated correctly, safety features may not work as intended. If the cameras/radars/lasers on the vehicle are off by even a few millimetres they may not give accurate readings and the system may not do its job in an emergency. GlassMasters will not replace a windshield on a vehicle with an ADAS system in the windshield without performing the calibration.
