How We Fix Rock Chips
A Look at Windshield Cracks
Depending on the size and state of the chip, we may drill a tiny hole with special glass bit.
Rock chip bridge is centred and sealed over the chip, resin is inserted and pressure is applied to inject it into your windshield.
Heat is used to wick the resin into the small openings in the chip and ensures all air has escaped.
Not all rock chips are the same; Some fill better than others, depending on the structure of the crack and the extent of the damage.
A Look at Windshield Cracks
Crack repairs are performed in a similar manner, we drill a small hole at the leading end of the crack in question, set the Rock Chip bridge, and stop the crack from spreading further. The entire crack is not filled, only the leading end of it.

When you get a chip in your windshield, try to keep water out of the area. Water expands when it heats up, and expands when it freezes, meaning temperature change is enemy number one to keeping damage contained. Putting a piece of scotch tape over the chip will help to keep the chip from spreading.
